FAQ
Details teams usually need before connecting a channel
How conversations reach HubSpot, how contacts are matched, what gets logged on the CRM timeline, and how billing and data protection work. Looking for setup steps instead? Read the channel activation guides.
Where do the conversations appear in HubSpot?
During setup, an admin chooses the HubSpot conversations inbox for each connected Telegram or Twilio account. New messages and replies stay in that inbox on a thread dedicated to the original channel conversation.
Can we message a contact first, or only reply to them?
For Twilio SMS you can message first. TryWired adds an SMS card to the HubSpot contact record. It runs as an iframe inside HubSpot, so your team can open a contact and send the first text without waiting for an inbound message. It uses the contact's phone number and your connected Twilio number, and the outbound message starts the same thread that later replies arrive on. An admin adds the card once through HubSpot record customization. Telegram channels remain reply-based, because Telegram requires the person to start the chat.
What happens when a sender has no email address or phone number?
Telegram contacts can be matched by their username or Telegram user ID. If no matching HubSpot contact exists, TryWired creates one with the channel identity, so the conversation does not depend on an email address or phone number.
What is recorded in HubSpot?
TryWired publishes the conversation to the selected inbox, keeps inbound and outbound messages on the same thread, and logs communication activity on the contact timeline. The activity is also associated with companies and deals already linked to that contact.
Are photos and documents supported?
Yes. Photos and documents are supported in both directions.
Which HubSpot plans support these integrations?
HubSpot currently makes custom inbox channels available on Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise and Service Hub Professional or Enterprise. The person connecting the channel also needs Account Access permission in HubSpot.
How does TryWired keep message history accurate?
Every message keeps its original channel ID, direction, timestamp, and HubSpot thread. That record lets TryWired continue after a short interruption without turning the same delivery into duplicate CRM activity.
Does TryWired manage SMS consent and opt-outs?
No. Your team remains responsible for consent and sender compliance. Twilio handles delivery status and opt-out controls in your Twilio account; TryWired keeps the SMS or MMS conversation and its direction in HubSpot.
How is billing calculated?
Telegram costs $40/month for the first connected account and $30/month for each additional account. Twilio SMS costs $35/month for the first connected number and $28/month for each additional number. Pricing follows the channels you connect. There is no per-seat charge and no per-message charge from TryWired. Twilio bills its own messaging and carrier fees in your Twilio account. Annual billing reduces the base subscription by 20%.
How is account data protected?
TryWired runs on Amazon Web Services. Channel credentials, messages, and files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and TryWired stores only the message and routing data needed to keep the channel, HubSpot contact, and conversation thread aligned. Message and webhook data is deleted after 30 days.
