Activate Twilio SMS

Connect a Twilio number to the HubSpot inbox your team already uses, then add the SMS card to your contact records so anyone can start a conversation from the CRM. Have your Console details ready and you’ll be set up in five steps.

Have this ready: your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and an SMS-capable phone number
Five small steps

You’re only a few minutes away

  1. Install the OAuth app

Open TryWired and choose Twilio SMS. Approve the HubSpot connection when asked so TryWired can use your HubSpot inbox.

    Open TryWired
  2. Add your Twilio credentials

Enter your Twilio Account SID and Auth Token, then choose the Twilio phone number you want to connect.

Tip: You can find the Account SID and Auth Token in the Twilio Console. Keep the Auth Token private.

  3. Confirm the phone number

Check that the selected number is the one your customers should text. It needs SMS capability in Twilio.

  4. Choose a HubSpot inbox

Select the conversations inbox where SMS and MMS messages should appear, then click Connect.

  5. Add the SMS card to the contact record

In HubSpot, open Settings → Objects → Contacts → Record customization and add the TryWired SMS card to the contact page. The card embeds TryWired as an iframe so your team can text a contact directly from their record, without waiting for an inbound message first.

Tip: The card uses the contact’s phone number and the Twilio number you connected. Anything sent from the card lands on the same HubSpot thread as inbound replies.

That’s it, you’re connected

New conversations will arrive in the HubSpot inbox you selected. You can change the inbox or channel settings any time from TryWired.
